DR. BRET FREEDMAN

Dr. Bret Freedman, grew up in Sandy Springs, right down the street from Village Orthodontics. Dr. Bret graduated summa cum laude from Woodward Academy where he attended middle and high school. After spending the majority of his life in the South, he decided to move north to attend the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. At Michigan, Dr. Freedman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a premed focus, because he knew that in his heart he wanted to follow the career path of his father and grandfather in the dental specialty.

This decision led him to the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2008 and graduated at the top of his class.

Throughout the course of his dental training, Dr. Freedman received many awards for his clinical and scholastic achievements including the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Cert. of Recognition, American Academy of Periodontology Award, and the James C Hickey Memorial Scholarship.

He received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Vanderbilt’s rigorous training provided Dr. Freedman with the highest level of knowledge and clinical expertise in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and dental sleep medicine. Dr. Freedman served five years as a part-time clinical assistant faculty member at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Division of Orthodontics. He has also been selected to teach at a new Orthodontic Residency in Nashville Tennessee that will be filling the spot for Vanderbilt's shuttered residency.

Dr. Freedman has completed the written portion of the American Board of Orthodontics Exam to become board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is Invisalign® Certified. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and a former member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Bret can often be seen roaming around the Dunwoody area with wife Amy and 3 children.

Gisela Is new to our team! She has worked alongside Dr. Freedman since March of 2023. Gisela enjoys hiking, and spending time with her mini dachshund, Canelo. She comes from a family of all girls, and is the youngest of her siblings. Gisela is currently enrolled in Gwinnett Tech, working on her bachelors!

Tessa is new to our team! She has been assisting for us since May of 2023. Tessa is married to her high school sweetheart, William. Together they have a 2 year old daughter, Rynnlee. Tessa served 6 years in the U.S. ARMY. She lived in Japan for 3 years, where she began pursuing the dental field. She loves the outdoors, and spending time with the people she loves.

LAILA

Laila has worked with Dr. Freedman for 11 years. She enjoys kayaking, soccer, dance, 90's music, and the beach. Laila has 2 rescue pups, Onyx and Kai! Laila is engaged to her childhood bestie, Shaun, who has a 6 year old son, Lennox . She loves spending quality time with them and her family on our days off.

LIZZY

Lizzy has been a part of Village Orthodontics for 2 years. She is responsible for taking photos, x-rays, and keeping our instruments sterilized. Lizzy was adopted from Latvia when she was just under a year old. Lizzy had jaw surgery when she was 15, prior to being treated in orthodontics. Lizzy loves traveling, cooking, hiking, and is in a motorcycle club!

Neri works remotely for the Village Team. She is here to assist with all of your insurance needs. She has worked in the orthodontic field for 19 years! Neri enjoys traveling, going on nature walks, spending time with her family, and gardening.
